Thank You!  We're so humbled and thrilled"

Weatherford, Texas was well represented at the recent United States Eventing Association 50th Anniversary annual meeting and convention held December 2-6 in Reston, VA.  Special awards were presented to Marvin Savage and Christie Tull of Weatherford for their contributions to the equine sport of eventing at Greenwood Farm, Inc.

Marvin Savage received a USEA Governor’s Cup which is presented annually to the volunteers who form the backbone of eventing.  These are individuals who labor tirelessly behind the scenes at the many jobs associated with the running of the sport.

Christie Tull received the Ironmaster Trophy which is a special award given to the person who exemplifies courage and fortitude.  After a serious accident in October 2008, Christie was still determined to provide the Spring 2009 International Horse Trials for competitors and did so admirably.  Her extreme efforts were recognized by this prestigious award.

Christie and Marvin are responsible for the International spring and National fall horse trials, held annually at Greenwood Farm, Inc. in Weatherford, where over 250 horses compete at each event with over a thousand in attendance.

Kevin Baumgardner presented Christie Tull with the Ironmaster Trophy at the USEA Awards Luncheon.

Marvin Savage accepted a Governors Cup from USEA President Kevin Baumgardner at the USEA Awards Luncheon.
