If you have ridden or schooled any of the Greenwood Farm cross-country courses, you and your horse have benefitted from the expertise of course designer, John Williams, of Southern Pines, NC.  John actively competes as an advanced rider and designs courses from his real-life experiences as a competitor.  John also designs for Holly Hill in Area V and courses throughout the world.

This year, as in the past, Greenwood’s cross-country phase received excellent reviews from officials and competitors alike.  Official comments concerning the course conditions, sequence of obstacles, use of terrain, and flow for each level were “technical virtuosity in design and construction…outstanding course in every regard.”

As a rider, you may be unaware of these excellent course reviews from the Ground Jury and Technical Delegates.  However, we take our course’s standards and safety very seriously and we’d like you to get involved in our course’s excellence by nominating John Williams to be recognized at the upcoming U.S.E.A. Annual Meeting in Virginia for a record-breaking consecutive third course designer award.
To place your nomination for John Williams, e-mail Sheila Strickler at eventjudge@earthlink.net giving the subject line of NEIL AYER COURSE DESIGNER AWARD NOMINATION and be sure to include the following info into your e-mail no later than October 30, 2009:
