We had a fantastic CIC and Horse Trial this past weekend, with no ambulance or vet emergencies. Thank you, everyone, for showing we can ride responsibly and well! It takes teamwork to pull that off.

Some of you saw Steve Smith of Cornerstone Training doing an incredible riding demonstration at the competitor's dinner on his cool horse "Toy Boy". On May 17-18, Steve will return to Greenwood to do a clinic to enhance the behavior and balance of your event horse. He has been really helpful here with backing young horses for a great first experience, teaching loading, bombproofing trail and hunt horses, enhancing body control and getting our horses more balanced up. He has lots of good techniques for behavior questions you may have with your event horse about the start box, leaving a group, bucking, runaways, spooky objects, refusals, startling at spectators, and other pesky issues! You may have a great eventer, but what about some of that behavior? You can learn more about Cornerstone Training Center on their website, cornerstonehorsetraining.com.
The two-day clinic is $275. Steve is also available for one-on-one consulations, which you can arrange by calling his cell at 903-603-8742. Please email me for reservations for the clinic as soon as you can. Looking forward to more great riding! Best wishes, Christie
